Virgin Mobile wants to sell unused Android

And at Virgin, we feel untouched by hardware manufacturers! A spokesman for Virgin Mobile have declared their commitment to the freedom that Android users love oh so much through the sale of stock Android devices. While some enjoy legitimate add-on features of skins like sense and TouchWiz, will many of us tell our preferred taste of Android is vanilla.

This statement comes hot on the heals of the Virgin's intro Motorola triumph yesterday. Triumph will be Virgin's first high end Android phone and a pretty sexy. What really tops from this cake is that triumph is the first Motorola device we've seen stock Android in quite a long time. If you want more on triumph, see our hands on.

Virgin Mobile United States aims to make available devices that allow end user to have the freedom to customize the device to their taste. We would like to take a consistent approach with our Android portfolio and so we prefer to have the true Android experience loaded on all of our Android phones.

The statement above, courtesy of a Virgin spokesman for PCMag.com, is big news to many Android purists. While many a customer has expressed a desire for material Android, this is the first time, we have seen some support from a major player in the Android ecosystem other then Google. In a hope that other carriers and OEMs will follow suit and at least give the stock Android offerings. In the meantime, major props to Virgin Mobile!
